remembering resistance
  timeline

This is an evolving timeline of protests across the North of England from 1918 to 2018.
You will be able to scroll through to see which you can remember, and learn more about a history of women's activism.
Timeline of Protests

call for contributions!

The timeline is a work in progress. We've made great progress identifying some of the main protests, but we know there are plenty of gaps. If you know of any protests that we've missed, we would love to hear from you. Get in touch and we'll add your protest to the timeline. Our ambition is to develop a complete, open source database of protests over the last century, help us make it happen!
