In this unit, we're going to look at the importance of community and solidarity in active citizenship.  
At the end of this unit, you will be able to:  
  • Recognise why it's important to have a strong community around you  
  • Understand the different ways you can build a community  
  • Tell others about the campaigns covered in the unit  
  • Identify skills that make a community strong  

Community means creating and being part of groups with others about issues that are important to you.
​Solidarity is about the feeling of connection to others and the power that can bring.
