remembering resistance @ the people's history museum

In June 2017, we invited people to come along to the People's History Museum and get involved with a series of activities to help share their memories of protest in Manchester since 1968, a time known as the 'Year of the Barricades' because of the number of protest events that took place across the world.

We asked people to tell us their favourite protest memory which we recorded in our memories booth

There was an opportunity to share stories of protest with others, and with us, in a sharing circle

We invited people to bring along banners and badges associated with their experience of protest

We had maps of Manchester that people drew on to record the route their protest took
